I've attached a picture of myself practicing sitting still in a small space for the upcoming journey from Monday, January 4th until Thursday January 7th. After 6 short flights, I will have the privilege of setting foot legally on Papua New Guinea soil. I will be in my aunt and uncle's village on West New Britain Island, PNG, and fly with their family to Ukarumpa on the 13th.
Class starts January 20th. I'm super excited to get to know my 5th Graders. I will be teacher #6 for them this year. Pray that I love and teach them well.
Pray also that I make friends with the food and the people in Ukarumpa.
Maybe also pray that I'll be able to sit still enough to fly for 4 (well, when you account for 16 disappearing hours, 3.33) days, and that my luggage would arrive with me.
